The sail away from Cape Town was somewhat marred by the requirement for all passengers to attend an emergency evacuation drill. In the past this interim drill would have been only for those who joined at Cape Town but such was the chaos caused by the Costa Concordia incident in January 2012 that all ships are required to repeat this whenever new passengers join.
I did, however, manage to get some photos and if you can caste your mind back I have already posted that picture.
The rounding of the Cape of Good Hope was not as benign as last year on Rounding Cape Horn. It was very rough with a strong wind and a haze over the lighthouse on Cape Point but I hope you will able to make out its tower through the haze.
