Tuesday 29th January to Friday 1st February 2013 +2.00 hrs GMT: The Etosha National Park and Onguma Game Reserve Road Block!!

This white rhinoceros was as surprised to see us as we it as we rounded a bend in the road!!

So what’s the difference between a black and white rhino? One is white and one is black!!  Wrong!!  White is the Bantu word for ‘wide’ and refers to the wide jaw of a white rhinoceros that is a grass feeder and has a wide mouth to hoover up the vegetation.  Black rhino have narrow more powerful jaws for scrunching bushes – so now you know!
