Breakfast by the pool over I set out on a guided tour of the city. The first stop was the Mani Bhavan, today a museum, but originally the residence of the Father of the Nation - `Mahatma Gandhi – when he stayed in Mumbai between 1917 and 1934. The photo is of his simple room from where he masterminded the non-violent campaigns. The museum houses a set of dioramas that graphically display the major events in Gandhi’s life in a much more enlightening way than the poster encyclopaedia I had encountered in Delhi.
