Before you get too excited there is no photographic record of this event. You will have to wait a while longer for that!! The picture is of the traditional whirling dance performed by Egyptian men and is not taken from the Local Show on board this evening but from a the later event mentioned above.
We were a little late getting into the Neptune Lounge for the evening show and I found myself sitting in the front row. Of course the inevitable happened once the belly dancer – one of the most stunningly beautiful women I have ever seen – had performed she made an unwavering beeline for me and I was invited to join her on the dance floor. If I say it myself I did rather well and was congratulated by a number of people afterwards. I must admit to have had a previous encounter with a belly dancer in Marrakesh some years back.
Good fun but watch this space for another belly dancing triumph!!
