Along the way were dotted new homesteads in small villages of perhaps up to a hundred dwellings for the Bedouins, part of the Government’s attempt to settle these people and put and end to their traditional nomadic way of life. This particular village looked empty but outside the next was a herd of goats but the street lamps in this village looked extremely out of place in this desert area.
