Friday 22nd February 2013 +5.5 hrs GMT: Mumbai (Bombay) ­ The Hanging Gardens

Beautifully terraced and landscaped these gardens are situated above an old reservoir on a hill overlooking the city.  A unique feature of the gardens is that the hedges have been trimmed into the shape of animals.

I spent a very pleasant half-an-hour strolling amongst the colourful flowerbeds and watching hundreds of red kites circling in the skies above wondering why they were here in such numbers.  All will be revealed in another posting.
