The moment you entered the main prayer hall of this Mosque you felt you were in a spiritual place. I remember feeling distinctly underwhelmed when I visited the Blue Mosque in Istanbul and whilst not overwhelmed here it did feel like a place of worship and sanctity: no crosses or alters, no elaborate pulpit (Not the correct term I know for the preaching position of the Imam at Friday Prayers) just a decorative but not overstated alcove (See Photo) directing worship towards Mecca.
