The first call this morning was to the Al Fateh Grand Mosque. Having left our shoes outside we were greeted by friendly Temple Guards and the ladies in particular were requested to don an Abeyer (I think this is the correct spelling) to ensure that their hair shoulders, arms and legs were covered down to the ankles. Men were OK as long as they were not wearing shorts or short-sleeved shirts but if not then they were obliged to wear a traditional white robe.
