No peace for the wicked since this morning I was awake and ready to leave the ship at 4.15am(!) for my maiden flight in a hot air balloon. Although this was a good three hours before dawn we had a 2-hour drive south to the balloon and skydiving centre. Only 4 participants this morning: Pat with whom I had shared the trip to Galapagos last year, Jonathan the Photo Manager with whom I had shared the trip to the Onguma Plains earlier in the voyage and Sandra the Tours Manager.
We arrived at the balloon site about an hour before sunrise and watched, as the first of the two balloons that would be flying this morning was made ready – see photo.
